After showing her the picture of me in the dress, she agreed to try it on for me. Then, with a small bribe was able to convince her to let me take a few pictures. I am a little disappointed that none of these turned out very well.....I was getting lots of painful, forced smiles. But, at least I was able to get a picture of her in the same dress as me. I will likely never be able to convince her to wear it again, as she is not really the dress type!

I am a little uncertain on how to edit these. In the first one I tried to darken the entire background so that you could not see the wrinkles, but now she looks like she is just floating there. In the rest, I left the background, and did a vignette. Now you can see the edge of the bench that is draped in the fabric, but I am not certain it is really any better. What would you do?

I really prefer the second one where you can see that she's sitting.
What about using a cool chair? or a little bench?
Thanks Jax. That is kind of what I was thinking. That is why I did not do any more work on the other image.
I should have taken the bench out from under the backdrop, but didn't think of it at the time. Maybe I can get her to put the outfit on again, so I can do a reshoot.
i agree with jax..wonderful photos as usual.:):)
As always Heidi... she is adorable!
No lights here Mike, just the natural kind from the sun, when it decides to shine.
I'm really loving the last 2. I love the hidden face in the last one...and I really like seeing the bench better than the black floating look.
I agree that they are better with the background left alone... the other thing that might work is if you can get her in that dress outside around some flowers.. it really calls for the Heidi background with the Alps and mountain flowers.. but I'm betting that would be a bit difficult. They are still great shots... she really doesn't take a bad picture.
Great suggestion Deeya, I might just have to wait for about 4 months for the snow to go away and the flowers to start blooming again.
THe last one's my favorite, but they're all beautiful :D
