A Little Sunshine

It has been rainy and overcast here all day, so I thought I would post some bright and cherry pictures, that can't help but make you smile.

I think that this one is my favorite:

My Little Flower

It has been way to long since I updated my blog. This working thing is really cutting into my photography time.

I was this flower headband the last time we were over to Target, and thought it would be so cute for little girls for photo shoots. DD is probably a little old, but she was still a good sport about it. Here are the pictures that I was able to get from a little photo shoot with her the other weekend.

This one was her own pose, it really shows her personality.

A Frosty Cold Morning

I woke up yesterday to a heavy frost. We usually only get heavy frost like this a couple of times a year, so I thought I should try and capture the beauty of it when I had the chance. I tried, but still think that it is much prettier in real life. I took some macro and a few landscape and other shots to share with all you Southern folk.

Have you ever seen a snowflake up close?

Here is my most recent try at a snowflake macro picture.

Winter Fun

I have been bad about posting on here lately, but things have been a little busy the past week.

Last Thursday we had some wild weather move into the area. the day started with a little freezing rain, the a few inches of snow, then some more freezing rain, and finally, late at night a thunderstorm rolled in. Since everything was covered in ice from the freezing rain, the high winds with the thunderstorm brought down a lot of trees and power lines. We were without power for Friday, so we decided to go out and enjoy the day. It was fairly mild out , but still windy, and every once and a while a little streamer of snow would blow in and last for about 5 minutes or so, and then the sun would be out again before you knew it.

Here is DD caught in one of these mini snow storms:

A little break in the weather and a little sliding down the snow hill:

I was trying to capture DS cut and black eye, but I see the colours are looking a little off on here, they looked fine in PS. Anywho, he was playing hockey in gym at school, and he got hit with the puck. He said that they wear goggles, and the puck hit the goggles, and that is what cut his eye, and gave him a bit of a shiner too.

DS using his GT snow racer:

He thought he needed to spray me with snow. Good thing is was heavy and slushy and did not get my camera.
