Snowflakes, pretty little snowflakes.

Every year I try to capture some pictures of individual snowflakes using my macro lens. I still have not perfected the technique, but I think I am getting a little better each time. It is just so amazing to see the details in each little flake, which is unique in itself.

Savannah Georgia

Sharing a few more from our trip.

These are all from the beautiful city of Savannah Georgia where we spent part of a day looking around. So many wonderful sites and building to see, I definitely could have stayed longer than the day. Here are some of the sites we enjoyed.

I just loved all the spanish moss hanging from the trees, and blowing in the wind.

This, if i remember correctly is river street, as it is right beside the river. What a bustling place. I snapped this picture quickly when we first got there, and within about 2 minutes the vehicles started up and down the street and there was never another chance to see the street where it was not crowded.

The buildings along River street I am sure date back into the 1800s and I just love the way they have aged. Check our the layers of brick and motar along with the moss, dirt and grunge that has accumulated over time.





This wall was so cool with the ferns and plants growing in the cracks and crevices.


Yes, this is the actual street that you drive down, and yes it is very bumpy!

The Cotton Fields of Georgia

I thought I would go back and share some more of the pictures from our trip to Disney back in November.

These are from the drive home through Georgia. We found this beautiful cotton field and pulled over to have a closer look. It was so neat to actually be able to see a cotton plant. E was just fascinated to realize that this is the fabric that much of her clothing is made of.

A Blanket of Snow

Mother Nature certainly has covered everything with a beautiful blanket of snow this winter. Now if only we could see some sunshine and bright blue skies.

Apparently it works to catch snowflakes while sledding too! Who knew!

Happiness Is.....

...being able to snuggle with one of the new puppies, even if it is just for a moment.
