Santa Monica Pier

While in Hollywood we decided to go check out the Santa Monica Pier.  It was extremely windy the day we were there, so the crowds were minimal, but I can just imagine how busy this place would be on a really nice day.

You can actually see the sand from the beach blowing around in this picture, which made going down on the beach itself very unpleasant experience.

The Santa Monica pier is also the end of the famous Route 66 in the USA. 

Hello Hollywood!

What trip to California would be complete without a trip to Hollywood to see the sign and the stars on the Walk of Fame.

Calico Ghost Town, California

While driving from Las Vegas to California we decided to stop at the Calico Ghost Town.
