Grocery Shopping

Well today was the day, you know when the cupboards are bare and you know that you need to go get groceries. So after play group, we headed off to the grocery store.

The trend around here seems to be to build huge grocery stores with a little of everything in them. At this grocery store there is a fitness club and a doctor's office.

This particular store has an upstairs where the fitness club, a meeting room, cooking classes and washrooms are. I went upstairs to take a few pictures to get a little different perspective.

For this picture, I used f/22, ISO100 and SS 5 sec, I think. I was trying to get a very slow SS, so that I could show movement. I wanted blurry people. I was going for the bustling people at the market. Not sure if it works or not, but I tried.

The store has their own Men's and Women's clothing line. They carry kids clothes and shoes as well.

Some fresh produce

Anna D if you are looking this fish picture is just for you.

I had a request to take a picture of our milk that is all bagged, cause most people from a photography site I go to have not seen bag milk. Their's usually comes in jugs. The picture is not that good as I had to take is through the glass cooler doors and there are lots of reflections.

Here is little Miss Vanna White holding the cooler door open for me to get the milk out.

Love the nice bright dishes that they have gotten in for spring:

WEEEEEEEEEE!

DD needed out of the cart to check out the display of fresh flowers in the floral section.

This store looks a lot like a super wal-mart here in the states. Your color in these is great. Gotta love those flower sniffing shots :)

What a great store! I agree with Margie, it really looks like a fun place to shop. I actually thought about taking shots today as I was picking up a few things at the grocery store, but knew I had a short time frame and wouldn't have time for shooting AND getting the things I needed.

Ok, I want to come live with you. You even take pictures at the grocery store! I'm so impressed! Love the one of your little one sniffing the tulip. Sweet moment.

I thought our Super Walmarts were big.. but I think you beat us out by a long shot! Bagged milk is interesting... never heard of that before.. Love the shot of DD in the buggy... looks like you pushed her ahead of you to get the shot.. :) And yes.. the flower sniffing shots are terrific.. So my question is do you end up spending more cuz the store has everything? I can't get out of WM for under $100 arrrgh!

Thanks everyone.

You can come and see us any time Aunt Margie! Don't forget to bring Denise.

Anna, I should have made a list, I forgot a few things, cause I was more worried about getting my pictures.

Deeya, it is like a Super Walmart. I guess when I go to get groceries, I have learnt to just go to the sections I need, and skip the rest, or I would end up spending a fortune.

Woah, that is one big store!! That looks like an all day affair! I love the colors in the shots from above of the produce!! The bag milk? That is odd...how do you store it and pour it? I can just imagine my kids trying to pour from a bag onto their cereal and LOOK OUT!!! Cats from all over would be at our house!!!
