Multnomah Falls

On the way to Portland we stopped to see the Multnomah Falls.  The parking is at a premium at this stop on the interstate, and it is not really very trailer friendly either, so we could not stay long, but we were still happy to stop for a few minutes to see the falls.


The Multnomah falls is split into an upper falls of 542 feet and a lower falls of 69 feet with a gradual 9 foot drop in elevation between the two making the overall height  620 feet.  This makes it the highest waterfall in Oregon and some say the second highest year round waterfall in the United States.
