"My Lips are Sealed"

First off, let me jus say that this was not my idea at all. My husband and I were busy working on fixing up some things and the house when DD came across this box of Scoob-Doo band-aids. We decided to let her have a couple, and honestly, who would have thought that she could have amused herself for an hour with a couple of band-aids. She was repeatedly putting them over the bruises on her legs and then pulling it off. After a while, she asked me to look and here she was with it over her mouth! Ewe! After having it on and off of her leg!

She let me snap a few quick pics, so I could share with everyone who is always wondering what the little monkey is up to.

The Children's Museum

The playgroup that I take DD to had a field trip to the Children's Museum this week. As you can see it is an older building, and a little run down, but the kids still had a great time.

We had a few minutes while we were waiting for everyone to arrive, so I decided to try and get a few using the mirrors to get a reflection:

How do you like my self portrait?

We went to the bathroom before out tour started, and I thought the wall were very cool, so I took a picture. DD just rolled her eyes and me and said what are you taking a picture of now?

According to DD there are dinosaurs in all museums. Here are the ones that we saw:

They have a place set up full of sand where the children can dig for dinosaur bones:

They have atwo story playhouse for the kids. DD is on the second floor looking out the window. I know that they need the netting for safety reasons, but it makes getting pictures difficult.

Snowman Building Weather

We have had a bit of a mild spell, which means that the snow is starting to melt and everything is getting really slushy and messy. It makes for the perfect time to build a snowman though, cause the snow is heavy and sticky and packs very well.

Here are a few pictures from the snowmen that we made the other day.

She is giving her snowman a kiss.

Backlighting Practice

I decided to practice some backlighting the other day, and I thought I would use a subject that could not move or talk back. I just feel like I never get eoungh contrast when I use this kind of lighting even when I boost it in PS afterwards.

Okay so these two are not backlighting! I did vary my DOF from 22 to 2.8. Love that shallow DOF.

The Purple Tulip

I got the inspriation for this picture from some pictures that I saw on Betterphoto.com. There is so much talent and creativity on that site. If you are ever in need of some inspiration, I recommend checking it out.

When I got home tonight after a long busy day at work, DD greeted me at the door with this cupcake in her hand.

She also made me a card.

All Things Girlie

I have not seen any natural hearts just lately, so I thought I would share some of DD's girlie little things, that are heart shaped.

Don't you just love these little heart shaped bottle of nail polish:

A lip gloss necklace:

A little bling:

Her dress up shoes. No hearts here, but I thought I would share anyways.

Finally one of her and her Bear, which was taken yesterday, but it seems I have to have one of her to share everyday, but they are too hard to take at night once I get home from work, so I have stockpiled a few of her.

I Spy with My Little Eye...

I saw this on a blog somewhere once, and just had to give it a try. I don't think that my pictures turned out as good as the one I remember on the blog, but we still had fun doing these.

It was difficult cause I need the natural light from my windows, but then I was getting lots of reflections in the magnifying glass. I was also having trouble with getting my reflection in the glass too.

Anyways, hope you enjoy these:

The last one is a picture of Emma laughing at herself, after I showed her the picture of her big eye:
