Calla Lilies

I love the strong lines and beautiful curves of the calla lily, so I thought I should share some pictures that I took of them.

Happy Easter Everyone

Gosh, I can hardly believe that it has been almost a month since I last posted. Life has been busy, but I will do my best to get back and post some more pictures sooner next time. In the mean time, I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter, and enjoys their long weekend.

One of My Favorite Flowers

One of my favorite flowers has to be the ranunculus. I just adore all those layers upon layers of petals and the way they unfold themselves so beautifully to reveal the centre of the flower.

My Little Covergirl

Finally it is little "E's" turn to be on the cover of a magazine! I just love the way this cover turned out! I think the custom paper that Cathie made is perfect for these pictures. Love that froggie stamp too!

"E" was so excited when she saw the cover with her dog Rosie on it, that I cannot wait for her to see this one in person!

The Butterfly Conservatory

Over the weekend we had the opportunity to take "E" to the Wings of Paradise Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge. It was such a cool place to be able to observe so many different butterflies fluttering around.






As amazing as all the butterflies are, it is just down right hot and humid in the conservatory for them, so poor "E" was just sweating in her red sweater. However, she did not let this stop her from making friends with the butterflies.





There is also a spot set up where many different chrysalides are hanging together and you can actually watch the butterflies emerge.

Gerberas are just such a happy flower

I just cannot help but smile when I see a gerbera, so I thought this cold snowy day would be perfect for posting a few pictures of this vibrant flower.

A Photo Challenge

So what I am supposed to do is:

Now for the story. I am not sure there is much of a story. This was taken back in May on night just before sunset when I was practicing my back lighting and little "E" was kind of enough to pose for me. I love this picture of her though, because well, it is so her, hair all over the place, happy and totally carefree.

Now just to find 6 people to tag. I will be back with some names.

Dreaming of Spring

I don't know about you, but I always get anxious for spring, and colour in the world again around this time of year. I could not pass up these cute miniature bulbs they other day. They certainly brighten up my kitchen.
