Ottawa
Just thought I would share a few pictures from our trip to Ottawa this summer. I had the pleasure of meeting up with one of my photographer friends, Julie, and she was so gracious to troop us around downtown to see all the sights in our nation's capital city.
It was a little hot that day, but we could not have asked for better weather, just look at those gorgeous blue skies.
First we started off by seeing the Chateau Laurier, the oldest hotel in Ottawa. What a beautiful place.
Next was a quick stop at the locks of the Rideau Canal
The view of the parliament buildings from the bridge over the canal:

Some of the detail in the gorgeous stone work:
The statue of MacKenzie, one of our early Prime ministers. I just had to take a picture, cause every time I looked at this statue, there was a seagull on his head.

The war monument and tomb of the unknown soldier:

Fiery Sunflowers
I have not had many chances to photograph the flowers from the garden this summer, as my DD picks them to give to me as soon as they bloom. These sunflowers where just a little out of her reach so they were spared.

Nothing but Pure Sweetness
I took "E" out to the park so that she and I could play the other day. Her in the park and me with my camera. Well she had not been playing for more than 5 minutes when she fell and scraped her chin. She was a little trooper though, and after a little cry and a little more playing she forgot all about her chin and actually let me take some pictures.
I have seen so many of these wonderful images of little ones looking up, but she has never co-operated with doing that before today. I think these are some of my new favorites of her, even with her poor little scraped chin.
I cannot decide which one of these two I like the best.
